Returns and Refunds



General Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original product packaging. Just contact our returns at returns@abundantav.com, and we will guide you through the process and supply you with a return mailing label you can print out. We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.

Calculating Your Refund

The following conditions and exceptions apply.
Partial refunds:
Any opened computer returned within 30 days of delivery: 15% restocking fee.
Any unopened media item or non-media item in original condition that is returned more than 30 days after delivery: 80% of item's price.
Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50% of item's price.

Receiving a Refund

We'll request a refund after we receive and process your return.
For items directed to our Returns Department, expect your refund within 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper (though in many cases you'll receive the refund sooner).

This time period includes:

5 to 10 business days for us to receive your return from the shipper
3 to 5 business days for us to process your return
The time it takes your bank to process our refund request (see below for specific guidelines)
We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Non-Returnable Items

Smarter Systems does not accept returns of the following items:
Computer laptops, and desktops more than 30 days after delivery.
Any product missing the serial number or UPC
Consumable goods such as media, etc. 
Downloadable software products
Gift cards

Exchanges

If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, contact our returns at returns@abundantav.com for a replacement. If you would like to exchange an item for a different one, please return the original item through contacting our returns at returns@abundantav.com (you will be refunded your original purchase price once we receive the item) and place another order for the item you wish to purchase. You do not have to wait for us to receive the original item before placing the new order.

Please note that it takes us 3 to 5 business days to process returns once they arrive at our Returns Department.

Large Items Shipped By Specialty Carriers

We are happy to accept returns for large items that are shipped via our specialty shippers. These items do require a special type of return and cannot be returned with a prepaid return mailing label like standard shipments. If you need to return an item shipped via a specialty shipper, please contact our returns at returns@abundantav.com, and request the return. We will follow up with instructions for returning the item. Note: Any return that is not the result of our error will be subject to a return shipping fee which will be deducted from the refund.

Using our Return Mailing Label

The return mailing labels obtained from our Returns Department are valid only for returns shipped within the U.S. However, you can still contact our returns at returns@abundantav.com for items shipped outside of the United States. In that case, you'll receive an address label where you'll initially need to pay for the postage.

Each return mailing label is coded for a specific shipment. Please do not include items from other orders, or other shipments from the same order, in the same box, or you will not receive the correct refund. Each shipment must be returned using a separate mailing label.

If you use this mailing label and the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.), we willl pay the return shipping costs.

If you use this mailing label and your return is not the result of our error, the shipping cost of that returned item will be deducted from your refund. The amount deducted will be equivalent to our standard shipping cost for that item.

Lamp Store Return Policy

We offer an unprecedented 90 day warranty on all lamps for any brand for faults due to defective materials or workmanship. The warranty commences from the day of dispatch from our warehouse and is extended if the manufacturer's warranty is longer than 90 days.

Requesting an RMA

To request an RMA, email returns@abundantav.com. Once an RMA has been issued, it remains active for 10 business days (2 weeks). If the lamps are not received in that time, the RMA will be closed and a new one

Broken in Transit

Breakages must be reported within 3 business days of receipt to enable us to claim with our carriers. Any claim outside of this period cannot be supported.

Ordered in Error / No Longer Required

If you have ordered the wrong item by mistake or you find that you no longer need the product, we are happy to accept it back. A 10% restocking fee will be applied considering that the product is in perfect condition.

Defective Product / Warranty Claim

If an item does not work or stops working by what appears to be a product defect, please contact returns@abundantav.com to receive an RMA.

We will then determine the fault with the relevant manufacturer and credit the lamp in full if applicable.
If a replacement is required ahead of the unit being assessed, please place a new order.

Incorrect Product Supplied

We work hard to ensure the right product is shipped to you but in the event than an incorrect item is shipped, we will credit the lamp in full once returned. Please consult with our sales team before ordering a replacement to ensure the error is not duplicated.

Please note that in all circumstances a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained before shipping the produt back to us. Products must be returned in their original packaging, which must not be defaced in any way. Consequently, we recommend that they should be shipped inside extra packaging. Unfortunately, because it will limit our ability to resell the lamp module, if these conditions are not adhered to, we reserve the right to levy an increased restocking charge or reject the goods.
